SERBIA : THE TIME OF THE RAIDS

Launched November 21, a major police operation in several cities in Serbia led to the arrest 719 illegal immigrants and exiles of 24 suspected smugglers. The exiles were arrested mainly from Afghanistan (443 people), Pakistan, Somalia, Libya, Palestine.

At the same time, Luxembourg and submits reduced provided financial support to asylum seekers, to avoid the intake of air. Serbia is the main country of origin of asylum seekers in Luxembourg.

The European Union imposes two conditions on the removal of visa requirements for Serbian citizens: that Serbia relays on its territory of immigration policy in the EU, where the raids, it prevents its nationals to come and seek asylum in Member States.
