Hungary has just amend its legislation on
asylum expanding possibility of detention of asylum seekers for a
period of six months, including families with children, anticipating the reform of the EU legislation on asylum and pushing its limits. This new legislation will take effect on July 1.
To implement this approach, a new detention center is being built in the vicinity of Szeged, near the Serbian border.
Hungary fit itself out to take over Greece as a gateway in the European Union.
