GREECE: THE GOVERNMENT GOES TO HUNT FOREIGN BABIES

Following the déclarations of a Parliament member of the neo-Nazi Golden Dawn asking that children of undocumented immigrants are excluded from public nurseries, the Vice-Minister of Interior, Evripidis Stylianidis, sent a letter to municipalities Crete asking them to collect from the public nurseries the list of foreign children attending them with their nationality.

This government initiative has provoqued in Crete a mobilization for the right of all children to be welcomed in public nurseries.
