Many Roma from Kosovo took refuge in Germany during the war. Now they are returned, after spending 10 years or more. Their children were educated in German, are sometimes born in Germany. As the Roma in Kosovo are often seen as having collaborated with the Serbs, it is to Serbia, considered safer, they are returned. They did of course there no family or home. At best they live in very precarious conditions through programs of reintegration very inadequate, or they are homeless.
In a city in central Serbia, they are on the streets. A German company has settled with state support and the municipality, it employs people at minimum wage, it prohibits all trade union activity. Some of the employees are Roma expelled.
Or how Europe creates its own third world.
